Another Interpretation of "Cowboy"

In an attempt to make you fell like the $180K you spend on school is truly worth it, MIT sponsors" C-Functions." While the name is derived from an economic function (consumption function), the events are anything but academic. Think about a high school dance where everyone is of drinking age, there is free booze and food all night and the inhibitions you had as a teenager have been lost somewhere along the way...this is a c-function.

A couple weeks ago was the 80's themed party sponsored by Sloan Women in Management (SWIM). Sticking with my roots, I thought "what better than to go as a cowboy from the 80's?" The result was...well take a look for yourself.

Craig an the Cowboy in Cambridge. Notice the 80's cover band in the background.
From the side/rear.
Total cost of the attire was $14.

  • Hat - $2 @ Boomerang thrift store on Mass Ave.
  • Snap button shirt - $6 @ Garment District on Broadway
  • Women's jean shorts - $6 @ Garment District on Broadway
  • Snakeskin boots - free @ my house
  • Belt/buckle - free @ my house
Though the costume did not make the finals of the costume contest, I received many complements on the costume, my legs and my butt.

We are only 5 days from the Korean C Function. I am taking suggestions for a costume for that.
